I was fulfilling my dream of a rural practice that incorporated trigger points and anthroposophic medicine for those who were interested.  Then federal agents came to town, and their presence is still noted. I developed something called broken heart syndrome or stress-induced cardiomyopathy. Symptoms include an ejection fraction of 20-30% (aka heart failure) with other hopefully reversible signs of cardiomegaly and myopathy, but for now I am completely disabled and on eight different medications. Any ongoing stress triggers additional heart damage, and so I am focusing healing on my self. "Physician heal thyself."
When I am finished with the federal situation, then I will be able to regroup and recreate my purpose in this community. Perhaps next year. For now, I must not work.
The one exception I will begin mid-September is to offer phone consults. A scheduling page will soon appear on this website. Also please note my new phone number: 802 380-2203. I will get back to you the week of labor day.
As I take time to reflect on how I got here (!!!!) I pulled on my tried and true life motto, "Why bother unless it's fun?"
Humor is of the best medicine, and I watch funny videos, appreciate jokes sent, laugh as much as possible.
Before I was in heart failure I began a series of "public announcements."  The first is about walking and I will do my best to attach the video to this blog. The second is about humor, and I will bring that one into the next blog post, next month.
Blessings! Light-filled, humor-filled, lovely and love-filled life and blessings, Lynn MD.

Dear Lynn,

I realized that you were going through, but never knew how dreadful this was. I could see the stress on your face and would wonder to myself how someone as caring and thoughtful about patient care could be treated so badly. I am glad that I can read your post to help me understand how this happened to you and I truly believe that in writing it must almost feel like you are tossing it away from yourself. I hope so because it angers me so that it took such a physical toll on you.

My wish for you is to find some sense of peace for yourself. I can't imagine how difficult that would be. Please take good care of yourself. Ellie
